RACV Club Royal Automobile Club of Victoria Pty…

5 out of 5

This is reputed to be the 2nd largest gym in Melbourne, with 42 cardio machines and every conceivable weight machine. Members are assessed each 8 weeks, by professional staff and there are plenty of personal trainers available. The gym has been so successful since its relocation in July 2005, that it is about to double in size.

Highly recommended, for men and women of all ages and abilities. I stared there at age 53, having never been in a gym before. I am now very fit for my age (55).

Ignore the published address, as the Club has built a new 17 storey premises at 501 Bourke Street, phone 9944 8888.

Great meals in the Bistro for around $20-$25 for 2 courses. I spend a fair amount of time there.
Magnificent meals in the Dining Room for around $40-$50 for 2 courses.

Fabulous tapas in the Wine Bar and a great atmosphere in the Members Bar.

You need to be a member of the RACV Club, or a member’s guest to enter this first class establishment, opened in 2005.

The hotel side of the Club is 4 1/2 stars.

I go to the Club Gym 3 days a week. It has 42 cardio machines and all weight machine types. It is reputed to be the 2nd largest gym in Melbourne and is about to be doubled in size, after less than 2 years at its present site. It’s very popular indeed, with a fully professional staff and personal trainers.
