RACV Club Melbourne - Gym

RACV Club Royal Automobile Club of Victoria Pty…

5 out of 5

This is reputed to be the 2nd largest gym in Melbourne, with 42 cardio machines and every conceivable weight machine. Members are assessed each 8 weeks, by professional staff and there are plenty of personal trainers available. The gym has been so successful since its relocation in July 2005, that it is about to double in size.

Highly recommended, for men and women of all ages and abilities. I stared there at age 53, having never been in a gym before. I am now very fit for my age (55).

Ignore the published address, as the Club has built a new 17 storey premises at 501 Bourke Street, phone 9944 8888.

It is that type of stuff that I love about the nook network - hearing about stuff that might not be widely known. (Thanks for the tip. Now if I could only motivate myself to try the gym).

I’ve had a look and it’s a very good gym. The real beauty though is, that for about the same price as other upmarket city gyms, you can gain access by becoming a member at the RACV club with a bunch of other associated benefits. I’d join in a blink if I still worked in town.
